The Plymouth Historical Society’s mission is to discover, preserve, and share historical knowledge about the City of Plymouth, Minnesota. Here are just a few of the ways we do that:
DISCOVER
- Actively engage our members in the search for Plymouth’s past
- Gather primary sources that tell the story of Plymouth from a variety of perspectives
- Recognize history is made every day in Plymouth
PRESERVE
- Care for and display the artifacts and archives in our collection according to best practices
- Serve as a repository for oral and written histories of Plymouth residents and businesses
- Ensure the safety and security of Plymouth’s history for generations to come
SHARE
- Hold Open Houses at the Plymouth History Museum that are free and open to all
- Offer unique special events and tour experiences for groups and individuals alike
- Make Plymouth’s history accessible and available for local and global audiences
